5/4/08

Still giving my legs a rest from the hard core running, I put together a little circuit today.

3 rds of:
-32kg KB swing, 20 reps
-20 push-ups
-20 squats
-24" box jump, 20 reps

9:31

Tomorrow is off and Tuesday I start back training hard for the PFT. Hard to believe, but I only have about another week of hard training before I take a short taper and then test myself.

That circuit didn't look like much of a rest for the legs! Haha

Those one handed swings with the 32? It looks like a right smoker!!

Good luck on Wednesday with the shoulder if you're not about until then.

I grant you that this was a tough lower body workout, but I should have been more specific about what I meant by a break for the legs. I mainly wanted to avoid those thousands of foot falls that come with running. My knees aren't the greatest to begin with, so all the running can take a toll if I'm not careful. That's also one more reason I'm a DL guy and not a squatter.
Regrettably those are not one handed swings. Two hand is still plenty hard for me. Thanks for the well wishes.

Two hands are still plenty hard for me too - I strained my back a while ago doing one handed. I think it was the same place as Franklin is injured at present.

Sounds like you may have similar problems I have with my knees. Super Joints should help you with that - has it arrived yet?

The books should arrive on Friday. I always choose the free shipping when available, but it does force me to practice my patience...
I hope it does help though. I've had bad knees since I was about 13, so relief would definitely be welcome.
