4/26/08

Lots of calisthenics today. Have been greasing the groove with 28 push-ups and 6 pull-ups, and also did a version of 5 minute abs.

5 min abs
-Sit-ups (30)
-4 count flutter kick (26)
-V-up (16)
-Plank hold
-Sit-ups (15)

Track workout:
-8x200m
These were run starting each effort at the top of a 2:30 countdown timer. Times were 33-35 seconds.

After coming home I did more GTG and another 3 sets of 15 sit-ups.

Like that sprint interval session - tough work.

GTG sets of 28 push ups!! Thought you had a sore shoulder haha

I DO have a sore shoulder! Push-ups just don't seem to hurt it unless my form gets sloppy. I keep my shoulders really firm throughout each set. There is definitely nothing fun about those 200s, but I credit the track work I've been doing with the amazing improvements I've seen in my longer distance work.

Yeah, the sprints will definitely have carry over to that distance. And a real puker I imagine too.

My shoulder aches like #$%^ if do press ups. Need to be a bit more proactive with my recovery of it. Complete rest hasn't been working for me.
