Woah - what happened on the last round? Daydreaming? haha
Read a good oldish strength article on DD by Adam Glass the other day. At that point he had built up to a 150lb Barbell TGU!!!
Last round got ugly. Part of the problem was in the fact that I rubbed the skin of my tailbone. When I was showering up I pulled off a dime sized chunk of skin that was hanging by a flap. Pretty gross. I hope you weren't eating while reading this. Darn sit-ups get me every time. I have always been weak at them and have never worked them enought to bring them up even a little bit.
I have read the article in question. Adam Glass continues to be very inspirational to me in terms of strength. Do you realize he was only bending about a year before certifying on the red nail? From what I understand that is way more than impressive.
Ew, Martin! You're yucky.
Your patience and demeanor on the DD forum today are to be commended. I really admire anyone who can take the punishment of both KBs AND Xfit .. it takes hardcore to a new level.
I wish I could but my body just breaks down too quickly from the type of punishment the WOD workouts dish out.
And sorry about the lost skin on the sit-ups but thank goodness its just skin.
Thanks Franklin. Do you mind me asking what is your user name on the forum? I would like to look for your posts as well. It is tough to find the right balance on some of those "delicate" topics, so it is nice to hear that I did ok.
No problem: my DD login name is:
Herma48852
I started a training log there back in Feb which I now use as a pre- blog. As for posts, you will find only three by me. Considering how in-experienced I am, I use the search function extensively before asking a question ... so far in every case, my question has been asked multiple times before and the responses from those with many years of experience (e.g., yourself) are more than satisfactory.
Thanks Martin - I was eating cornflakes!!!
My sisters boyfriend recently had to clean out a weeping wound she had on the base of her spine from an abscess removal. Every day for 6 weeks!! I kept telling him to just leave her haha.
Annie - in sickness and in health.
I know, I know. *sigh*
